Buchanan Law Firm, LLC is honored to announce that Salim Khayoumi, Esq. has been named partner, joining Founding Partner Deena Buchanan in managing the firm. With over 15 years of legal experience, Salim is a highly respected personal injury litigator committed to securing justice for victims of negligence throughout New Mexico.

Salim has an extensive legal background, having successfully tried numerous bench and jury trials across the state. In 2023, he was part of a plaintiff trial team that secured a verdict exceeding $24 million. His dedication to holding negligent parties accountable has resulted in millions of dollars recovered for injured clients.

Before joining Buchanan Law Firm, LLC, Salim represented corporations and individuals insured by some of the nation’s top insurance companies in complex litigation involving medical malpractice, oil field injuries, premises liability, insurance bad faith, employment law, and construction accidents. Prior to that, he served as a prosecutor for both the Fifth and Second Judicial District Attorney’s Offices, handling cases ranging from misdemeanors to complex felonies.
